In plain language
When you buy an animation, you're buying the right to use it in your Roblox experiences — not the animation itself. You can use it in unlimited Roblox games you own, but you can't resell it, share the asset ID with others, or claim you made it.
Some animations have an Extended License available for higher-volume or studio use. Check the product page before purchasing.
1. Summary
This License Agreement governs how you may use animations purchased through robloxanimations.com (the "Service"). It supplements the Terms of Service and applies to every animation you purchase.
When you complete a purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the animation under the terms below. The seller retains ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
2. License tiers
Each animation is sold under one of the following license tiers. The tier for a specific animation is shown on its product page.
Standard License
Default for most animations. Suitable for most independent developers and hobby projects.
- Use in unlimited Roblox experiences you own or operate
- Use in monetized Roblox experiences without volume limit
- Modify the animation for your own use (no redistribution)
- Use across multiple games tied to your Roblox account
Extended License
For studios, agencies, and developers building games for clients or third parties. Available on select animations.
- Everything in Standard License, plus:
- Use in client work or contract projects
- Sublicense to clients within finished game projects
- Use in templates or starter kits sold to other developers
3. What you can do
Including monetized games, with no limit on player count or revenue.
As long as those games are owned by, or operated by, the account that purchased the animation.
Adjust timing, blend with other animations, or layer it for use in your project. Modifications are for your use only and may not be redistributed.
Trailers, screenshots, social media posts, and marketing for the Roblox experience the animation is used in.
4. What you can't do
You can't sell, gift, or share the animation file or asset ID with others. The license belongs to your account only.
Posting asset IDs in tutorials, free model scripts, public Discord servers, or YouTube videos enables others to use the animation without licensing it. This is a license violation.
You may not market, attribute, or describe the animation as if you created it. The seller retains creative attribution.
Animations licensed through this Service are for Roblox use only. Use in Unity, Unreal, or other engines is not permitted.
If you're building a Roblox game for a client, agency project, or to be sold as a template, you must purchase the Extended License where available.
You may not include licensed animations in free or paid asset packs distributed to other developers.
5. Scope
The license is granted to the Roblox account that completed the purchase. It cannot be transferred to another account, sold to a third party, or shared between team members on different accounts.
If multiple developers on a team need access, each developer should purchase their own license, or your studio should purchase the Extended License where available.
6. Duration
The license is granted for the lifetime of your account, subject to the terms of this Agreement and the Terms of Service. There is no recurring fee, expiration date, or subscription requirement.
The license terminates if:
- Your account is closed or terminated for violating our Terms
- The purchase is refunded under our Refund Policy
- A chargeback is initiated and the dispute is decided against us
- You materially violate this License Agreement
7. Updates
Sellers may publish updated versions of their animations. When this happens:
- Buyers automatically receive access to the new version at no additional cost
- Old asset IDs continue to work; new asset IDs may be made available
- If the seller substantially changes or removes content, we will notify affected buyers
8. Violations
If you violate this License Agreement, we may, at our sole discretion:
- Issue a warning and request remediation
- Revoke licenses to specific animations or your entire library
- Suspend or terminate your account
- Take legal action to recover damages or enforce intellectual property rights, including those of affected sellers
If you suspect another user is violating this License Agreement (for example, a YouTube tutorial publishing asset IDs publicly), please report it to abuse@robloxanimations.com.
